72 Hours in Brooklyn

Wythe Hotel is the original boutique hotel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, focused on culture, food, community, and warm, genuine service. We are staunchly local, and mindful of our role in Brooklyn’s proud history of welcoming people from all over the world.

We invite you to experience Brooklyn through the eyes of our wonderful team. They live and work and play in Brooklyn, and we are excited to share some of their favorites.

Friday evening: Cozy up to the bar at Le Crocodile for Apero Time and enjoy select cocktails and pours of wine for just $11, then walk up a few blocks to our sister restaurant, Chez Ma Tante, for dinner (Chef Aidan recommends the pork shoulder & frites).

Apero Time: 5-7pm on weeknights (bar seats only)

Saturday morning: Take a stroll to Okonomi or Rules of Thirds for a unique and filling Japanese Breakfast, then head down to Prospect Park for a taste of Brooklyn arts & culture. Our owner, Peter, recommends checking out the Brooklyn Public Library’s showing of It Happened in New York (a photography exhibit by Sylvia Plachy launching January 15th) or the COPY MACHINE MANIFESTOS, currently exhibiting at the Brooklyn Museum.

Saturday afternoon: One of our favorite places to ice skate in the city is at the LeFrak Center Lakeside in Prospect Park. Our Executive Pastry Chef, Leanne, recommends warming up with some spiked hot chocolate. For Ice Skating hours and tickets, visit prospectpark.org.

Saturday evening: Some of our favorite neighborhood cocktail bars (with excellent food) include Achilles Heel, Nura, Bar Americano and Hotel Delmano. If you’re looking for an activity, we suggest bowling at The Gutter (fun fact: the alley was rescued from eBay) or catching a show at Brooklyn Bowl. In need of a late night bite? Check out The Commodore (we love their hot chicken sandwich, nachos and pina colada – yes, even in winter).

Sunday morning: Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in bed (we suggest the omelet or seasonal pancakes) or grab a housemade pastry and Oslo coffee to go from Le Crocodile.

Sunday afternoon: Our neighborhood has no shortage of shopping. If you're into vintage, check out Beacon’s Closet, Seven Wonders Collective, 10 ft Single by Stella Dallas, and Awoke Vintage

Psst: We've got more than a dozen exclusive offers for Wythe guests this holiday season. Ask the front desk when you arrive for the list!

After you’ve hit your 10,000 steps, treat yourself to a slice of NY pizza (we love newcomers L’Industrie and Fini – or keep it classic with Joe’s).

Awoke Vintage | Greenpoint and Williamsburg

Sunday evening: Take in the view of the Manhattan skyline and enjoy live jazz from 5-8pm at Bar Blondeau, our 6th floor cocktail bar. (We recommend starting with a dozen PEI oysters paired with a martini and ending with our collab dessert with Salt & Straw ice cream.)

Monday morning: If you want to take some unique gifts home to friends or family, swing by Upstate Stock (they also make an excellent Campfire Latte). Peter Pan Donuts also travel well – that is if you don’t eat them all first! If you’re pressed for time, consider our exclusive No. 80 whiskey available for purchase in the mini bar.

Traveling with your pup? Here are a few of our favorite dog friendly dive bars & cafes: Lucky Dog, George & Jack’s, Boris & Horton.
