Cinema Series: JIM ST. GERMAIN

Please join us as we welcome our October Cinema Series Resident, Jim St. Germain for a screening of his short film, Father, starring Michael K. Williams.  Storytelling, truth, family history, and layered trauma merge in the work that came together over shared experience and friendship in Brooklyn.

Jim St. Germain is the co-founder of PLOT and holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He is on the Board of the National Juvenile Defender Center and was appointed by President Barack Obama to the Coordinator Council on Juvenile and Justice Delinquency Prevention (CCJJ). 

In addition to his justice work, Jim is an activist-filmmaker and motivational speaker whose work encompasses issues related to criminal justice, mentoring, mental health and education.  He is the co-author of a newly released book, “The Good Immigrant” and a memoir, “A Stone Of Hope,” who was recently hailed by former President Barack Obama.
