SUNSET SOUNDS: Madison McFerrin

7p at Lemon’s rooftop bar

Open to the public

We are thrilled to welcome independent singer-songwriter Madison McFerrin to Lemon’s for a live performance.  Based in Brooklyn, NY and possessing a singular musical background (her father is Grammy-award winning musician Bobby McFerrin) she has established a stunning unique style with the New York Times remarking how her sound “shows wonderful vocal dexterity, deftly swerving from sharp, clearly enunciated staccato bursts to fluttery, free-form melismata.”

She’s garnered attention from the likes of Questlove and Pitchfork Magazine with KCRW DJ Anne Litt remarking, “there’s some sort of joy and beauty in the way that she performs that really drew me in all that much more.”  She has performed at Northside Fest, OctFest, Paris Avant Garde showcase, Art Institute of Chicago, and SXSW as well as having an upcoming NY headline later this year.

Beyond the stage, Madison’s one-of-a-kind vocals can be heard in episodes of Comedy Central’s Broad City and HBO’s Random Acts of Flyness.
